Help me protect net neutrality

Right before Thanksgiving, Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Ajit Pai, announced that the administration is planning a total repeal of net neutrality rules by December 14.

If this passes, internet providers such as Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T would be allowed to auction off internet service speeds to the highest bidder and also be able to choose and block which sites customers have access to.

This means these internet providers could charge more for, or even block, access to your favorite streaming service, news sites, independent bands… or any site that doesn’t pay them a premium. They could throttle speeds for the content they wish.

Most Americans already fall victim to the predatory business models of these huge media companies and currently have little or no choice among Internet service providers.

We cannot be giving these companies more power and access to our data.

Preserving an open Internet and the free flow of information are cornerstones of a modern democracy and give all companies and individuals a level playing field, regardless of the size of their bank accounts.
