9 million children will lose their health insurance

Over 9 million low-income children rely on the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) for health insurance, and Congressional Republicans just let it expire.

If action is not taken quickly to restore funding, the damage will soon be felt across the country – hurting 350,000 children in Florida.

On September 30th, Republicans in Congress again demonstrated they are unconcerned with the health and well-being of millions of children.

CHIP was enacted 20 years ago and has always enjoyed popular bipartisan support because it reduced the percentage of uninsured children in the US by more than half.

Florida is at risk of running out of CHIP funds in a few months unless Congress quickly acts to fix this. It is imperative that we stop Republicans from holding this program hostage.

We will be keeping tabs on this in the following months.

We thank you again for your support, attention, and the diligence you have displayed toward these many challenges.
