Florida Times-Union Endorses Nancy Soderberg for Congress

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 24, 2018

Daytona Beach – Today, the Editorial Board of the Florida Times-Union, the oldest newspaper in the state, announced it’s endorsement of former U.S. Ambassador and FL-06 Democratic nominee Nancy Soderberg. In their endorsement, the Florida Times-Union highlighted Soderberg’s experience and independent spirit.

“I’m honored to be one of a select number of Democrats endorsed by the Florida Times-Union,” Soderberg said. “The Florida Times-Union recognizes the reality of this race — that there is only one candidate who is truly independent-minded, who will work across the aisle to get things done for Florida families. I am not running against a person or a political party. I’m running for every family in this district, Independents, Republicans, and Democrats alike.”

This endorsement builds on the momentum behind Soderberg’s campaign after polls show this is a tied race and after crossing the $2.5 million fundraising mark. She has garnered support from local leaders, national figures, grassroots groups, and local and national organizations.
